Managing cattle inventory and reconciling yard sheets plays a major role in any feedyard operation. Whether you’re an accountant needing a feedlot audit, a lender requiring a cattle inspection, changing yard managers or transitioning ownership of a feedyard, capturing cattle inventory is critical. Drone Feedlot Inventory Services will not only help you quickly capture images of each pen without stressing the cattle, it can also limit the interruptions of the daily feedlot operation.
Crop Quest offers two cattle inventory options. With our Compile option, customers are given high resolution images of each pen that distinctly recognizes individual animals. Our Total option provides a full-service solution which provides customers an independent third-party audit of their feedlot.
When choosing Drone Feedlot Inventory Services, a high-resolution image is taken of each pen, which makes for easy counting at your convenience. With our full-service option, we will make the actual counts, and compare the pen count spreadsheet with your current yard sheet to sort out any discrepancies. We can then provide lenders, stock holders or owners with a professional feedlot inventory report. With either option, data is shared through the Cloud and available to you at your convenience.
“Crop Quest provided us with their drone feedlot inventory service when we acquired two new yards. They were able to fly and capture images on the two yards in a very timely manner. It is very easy to count each pen to verify headcount, and there is zero disruption to daily operations.” Joel Jarnagin, Green Plains Cattle Company LLC
